Welcome to Flourish
Hello, I'm Phoebe Noott, the founder of Flourish with Phoebe, a wellness community dedicated to supporting mental health and well-being. My journey to wellness and community building has been a deeply personal one, shaped by my own experiences and challenges.
Growing up, I wasn't always passionate about fitness. I played hockey for my country for five years, but it was the camaraderie and team spirit that motivated me, not a love for the gym. However, everything changed during a tough period in school, just before lockdown hit. I turned to the gym as a way to escape reality, and what began as a healthy outlet quickly spiraled into an unhealthy obsession. I started training multiple times a day and became consumed by what I ate, using exercise and food as punishments rather than nourishment.
This led to a period of physical and emotional decline. I became so weak that I could no longer participate in sports. Despite having an amazing support system that helped me seek professional help, I felt isolated, as if no one truly understood the struggles I was facing. It was during this time that I realized the importance of community in healing and growth—something I desperately needed but couldn't find.
Feeling that traditional paths like university weren’t right for me, I decided to travel, a decision that changed my life. I spent six months exploring Asia, where I learned invaluable lessons about freedom, self-acceptance, and the joy of living beyond the confines of diet and exercise. I then moved to Australia for a year, and it was there that the seeds of Flourish with Phoebe were planted. Australia’s vibrant wellness culture, with its abundance of run clubs, wellness events, and community activities, inspired me to create something similar back home, where I felt such a supportive community was lacking.
Why i created this community
Flourish with Phoebe was born out of my desire to fill the void I experienced during my own journey. I wanted to create a space where like-minded individuals could come together, support one another, and enjoy activities that promote mental and physical well-being. Whether it's through our wellness events, retreats, run clubs, or other activities, my goal is to foster a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.
I want people to know that they are not alone in their struggles. There is always an option to reach out, to find support when you're not feeling like yourself. I’m passionate about sharing my experiences to show that it's possible to enjoy fitness and wellness in a way that is fun, wholesome, and free from toxicity. My mission is to help others find joy in wellness and to build a community where we can all flourish together in a positive, uplifting environment.
